IOPCC Trip Report

West Bay to Lyme Regis.
17th October 2010

There was frost on the windscreen for the first time since last Winter. However, the day was sunny with a clear blue sky and only a light breath of wind.

Nine members of IOPCC met at East beach. Launching was uneventful and we enjoyed a smooth sociable paddle to Lyme Regis.

Lunch was leisurely on the warm sunny beach. We were treated to home baking from Hilary and also from new member Diana who is a nutritionist and chef at Fitwoman Boot Camp.

On the return trip we paddled close inshore. A few small waves at Charmouth provided some entertainment. The rocky outcrops off Golden Cap and Thorncombe Beacon removed a few more slivers of gel coat. We bimbled our way back in the sunshine to West Bay where Jill managed to move up from 2= to 1= on the Swim Tracker by taking a swim whilst landing! How we laughed!!
